When does the Planning Board meet and where?: The Planning Board meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesday night 6:30 p.m. location of the meeting is in the Middleborough Town Hall Board of Selectmen’s meeting room. 1. Where is the Planning Department located?: The Planning Department is located in the Town Annex Building on the second floor at:

When does the Planning Board meet and where?: The Planning Board meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesday night 6:30 p.m. location of the meeting is in the Middleborough Town Hall Board of Selectmen’s meeting room. 3. Is there a Notary Public in the Planning Department?: Yes, the Town Planner, Leeann Bradley, is a Notary Public. She is typically available from 8a - 5p, Monday through Friday.

4. How can I be placed on the Agenda?: Submit a written request outlining the matter that you wish to discuss along with 5 copies of all substantiating material. The Planning Board must receive the request by 4 p.m. the Tuesday before the Planning Board meeting.

5. How many Planning Board members are there?: There are five elected members and one associate member.

6. Can anyone attend a Planning Board meeting?: Yes, all Planning Board meetings are open to the public.

7. Are all Planning Board meeting minutes available to the public?: Yes, all Planning Board meeting minutes are available to the public either on the Planning Commission page or copies can be made available at the Planning Department but copying fees apply.

8. What is the description of a Form A?: An application for the endorsement of a plan believed not to require approval under the Subdivision Control Law. A Form A or Approval Not Required (ANR) plan divides land into house lots when the lots have frontage on an existing street.

9. How many plan copies are needed when a Form A application is submitted?: Five copies are needed.

10. When is the best time to submit a Form A?: The Planning Board has 21 days after the submission of a Form A plan to approve the application. Therefore, the best time to submit a Form A application would be the Tuesday prior to 4pm before the next scheduled Planning Board meeting.

General Use - Residential uses must comply with Residence A requirements; Business use requires 35 feet setback from street; 25 feet setback from side and rear and have 75 feet of frontage.
Residence A - 60,000 square feet; 25 feet set back from street; 10 feet from side and rear lot lines minimum and 175 feet of frontage with a shape factor of 30.0 or less.
Residence B - 20,000 square feet; 25 feet setback from street; 10 feet from side and rear lot lines and 125 feet of frontage with a shape factor of 30.0 or less.
Residential Rural - 80,000 square feet; 50 feet setback from street; 10 feet side and rear lot lines and 200 feet of frontage with a shape factor of 30.0 or less.
